Brake cleaner under playfield?

As above, anyone used it? evaporates rapid! But would it damage anything? Might be good to get all that black dust out the crevices?

Yes I have that too for cleaning solder flux etc but thought it evaporated in the same way

I’m sure brake cleaner will deal with the black stuff. But not sure I’d want to get it onto wood. Used to use brake cleaner to clean the clutch and diff gears on model cars. Great stuff but pretty unfriendly to work with.

I have a big aerosol tin the garages use I will try it on a scrap playfield to see what it does to wood

Cant vouch for break cleaner but there are people on pinside who use it. I use 'fast panel wipe' for cleaning almost anything on a pinball. If you use anything fast evaporating make sure you have good ventilation and no naked flames / sparks as its almost guaranteed to be highly flammable even when airborne.
