Selling my Blackout as I need to make room for 2 games!!!... The confessional was busy...

LED upgrade of GI
New glass
New flipper re-build
Cpu recently fixed a few months ago. Works fine since then. Was also working fine before, but one day just went.

Speech always worked great independent of cpu.

The playfield has been retouched but looks great. The ball sometimes follows the inserts a little, but seen this happening to the Blackout at PBR too.

The back glass has also been retouched. See pictures.

Beautiful game.

Thank you.

For sale again.
One of the top lanes and a stand up target switch don't work at the moment.
I'm sure someone can make those work again.
I hadn't noticed but there is a portion of the bottom cabinet that has been replaced around the speaker.

February bump on my Blackout.
Switch issue sorted, it was just a loose cable sorted by Nick (thank you). All working fine.
Open to offers!

Hey. Interested. Would you say this would be a good first pin? I have no maintenance experience but keen to learn.

Where about are you?

Hi,
I think it is a great first pin as the rules are very simple and the pin is really nice; playfield artwork, back glass.

However it is not the most reliable era of pins. I am not expert on why but the system 11 pins are temperamental. Saying that, it's working fine.

The pin is in Royston.

Thanks!

Of this era Williams games are harder to resurrect from the dead but once working no more troublesome that bally or gottlieb. They are just getting old! Traditionally bally were recommended for a first game as parts easy to source and nowadays the altek replacement cpu makes them reliable.
General maintenance like rubbers flippers etc is part of the course for any pinball. Bizarrely though parts for rebuilding flippers on Stern are far cheaper than older games.

All the sys5-7s I've had so far have had issues, I think I've had 5 or 6 now.

But the issues are often dodgy connectors and 40pin interconnect. Once repinned they're as reliable as anything else. Flash is at the pinball office hammered every weekend and hasn't failed since the mpu was repaired before NERG.

Repinning is cheap as chips just a bit tedious.
