#1 HOOK WINDCOASTER

I've been tuning up my Hook in anticipation of this update and whilst not a highly rated machine I think the Windcoaster ramp is brilliant and one of the best versus other machines I've played.

What's to like...
- it's 360 degrees and the rope light flashes as the ball goes round
- you can fluke a backhand from the left flipper
- if the balls very weak it rolls bask sdtm
- if the balls weak it sometimes rolls off the outer to the inner loop
- if the balls just right it just about makes it halfway then gravity carries it on down
- if the shot is strong it just wizzes around and makes you smile
- in multiball you can keep a couple of balls spinning round it and returned back to the right flipper (advanced even more smiles)

Here is the bad boy from peteb's machine cos his looks nicer than mine.

What else is out there with the physics and fun to compare?

The ramps on Walking Dead Pro are smooth as silk.

I like the left ramp on Transformers.

I think two obvious candidates are Insanity Falls (WhiteWater) and the ramp-on-a-ramp of creature from black lagoon. A favourite of mine, though, is Riverboat Gambler, which is 3 ramps in 1.

What about the ramp on TFTC that flips the ball over and back on its self. If you dont hit the ball hard enough and it drops off the ramp onto the wireform below you get a trickshot bonus.

How about the main ramp on Big Bang Bar? Which looks deceptively plain but has five diverters to send the ball to a whole heap of different locations.

I'm also a fan of the 'squiggly' ramp out of mount doom on the back end of LOTR. They could have easily put a straight ramp there but went with something more interesting.

top right flipper to ramp shots always very satisfying. you could call them Ritchie ramps as his games love them but the most satisfying is the one on Whirlwind

Here's one from left field.

The 1 point shot on Monday Night Football.
