Hi folks,

So I missed out this lovely Chris B restored one (offered to buy within minutes but seller took a week to reply and then went with whoever phoned first....Arrrggghhh!)

Sold Thread 'Batman The Dark Knight (Stern)'

For sale £3,000.

Beautiful machine fault free, one of Chris b pinball restorations, many new mechs on it.

Previously listed for £4500, reason for sale is lack of space in garage having been moved out of the pinball room to the outer garage. Will be a shame for it to stand in the cold all winter long.

That had everything I wanted and was 3k. Genuinely gutted I didn't get it. Months later and its still annoying me :(

But if anyone wants to sell one as nice for 3k, please shout. And if anyone wants to sell one not as nice for under 3k, shout too!

FinalFight's buyer has now been nudged and is picking it up on Saturday so I'm back on the search. That one was a nice one too and under 3k 😢 Gutted twice for the same game!

Any offers for one?

Sorry mate didn't mean to gloat, I'm a big Batman fan and was hoping to see one of these at Pinfest as I really wanted to play one. But I just got lucky with this one. And it really is a nice machine, and even better with the sound file that @Big Phil was kind enough to send me
 
Bump and updated to include pretty much anything from Bally/Williams 90s DMD era onwards between 2-3k. Much prefer something fully working and in nice condition but semi-flexible to small issues if it gets me a decent game normally worth over 3k within my budget. Budget can be extended too if something really really nice is offered. Thanks.
 
That ebay Dark Knight is probably not gonna happen. Had a chat with the seller and I wont be increasing my minimum bid on it now due to the fact he couldn’t say if it was all still working or not. Not given me any confidence in it 😢

His listing is mostly written by AI but when I asked if there were any issues with it I got a woolly response stating he wasn't sure if it was all working or not. With poor pictures and the seller staying tight lipped about its condition then I'm just not feeling it. If I was closer I might have gone for a look at it before upping my bid but sadly I wouldnt go that far unless I had actually won it. Really hate buying from ebay.

That seems sensible. The AI description and blurry photos made me question if it was real from the start.

Definitely sounds like one not to go mad on without seeing it in person.

I wonder who it is? It looks like a Chris B restored one from the blue sparkle metalwork

It came from Williams Amusements….and they aren’t exactly having a glorious week as per the other thread with CCJs etc filled against them.

Bit if a gamble however looking at it another way ….. issues are very rarely catastrophic and everything can be fixed 🫡 Though you’d want the price to reflect that.
It’s often tricky though with non pinheads (his listing suggests that) getting them to accurately describe condition or issues . It could be something very minor like literally a fuse.

Agree 100%. If I was comfortable it was all working I'd up my bid and if I knew what the faults were such as rotating joker mech not spinning then i could factor that in to my best offer. Its the not knowing that is making me stop and think. Could be an absolute bargain but I dont like taking gambles on things from ebay or facebook. Pretty much always get Martin to collect pins I buy via here as I'm comfortable people here describe them properly so I can take the gamble of buying unseen from here. Not doing that on ebay.

Why not ask if there's anyone local to the listing who could go and give it a once over for you?
 
This is one of my old bmtdk (I’ve had a couple). Tbh it was the nicer one and although it’s probably 3+ years back it had a full strip down and service by Chris b. At the time it played fantastic. I enjoyed it and sold it to john at Williams and probably would have it back
 
Yeah Martin is from there but i know hes really busy and has his kids at weekends so I wouldn’t want to impose.

Been haggling with a garage in Newcastle though for a car last week and walked away and they’ve just came back to ask if i’m still interested and can i pay by Friday. So if that comes off then i might take the long way home via Rotherham.
