sad news, liked quite a few of his games...

Nads ; rather suboptimal.
I have fond memories of playing DH in Regency arcade in Brighton with the sound so high I almost had blood coming out of my ears. I love that game.
Well played, sir.

****, sad news indeed, he had just joined AP after all the Deeproot nonsense. I was genuinely looking forward to seeing what he came up with next.

Designer of some of my favourite games of all time and arguably the game that saved pinball. Very sad.

Really sad news. We've lost two giants of the industry within weeks of each other. Who Dunnit is an unsung classic of the DMD era and I thank him for bringing this gem to us.

Sad news indeed. I remember playing a few games of Defender with him at the pinball party nice chap.

His machines are the wonderful legacy of a guy who enriched the lives of millions.

I think Joe talks about it in an interview I did with him a few years ago:

RIP Barry. Very underrated designer. Shame he never managed to get a game made in the last 20 years. I think working in a team with a good programmer and art team we would have loved what he came up with.

Met him at UK Pinball Party 2014 (I think?) and he presented me with trophy. Will dig out the photo. He also did a nice talk that year.

Yeah, must have been 2014, I guessed it was 2013 the other day. Literally the day before I noticed he landed a job with AP only to notice this.

It is a shame, would have been nice for new game from either. I took this after hours up in Daventry and kept thinking Christ, you should be in bed mate :)

I love my BSD. I was looking forward to him working at AP I believe?

Its a shame he never got another chance to make something modern. I gotta get out to the states and meet these people. Life is short.

I had Barry sign my DIRTY HARRY Translite when he visited the UK.

Pleased to say that DIRTY HARRY will be returning to my collection very soon.

Gods speed Barry.
