I'm considering selling one, or both, of my Bambu Lab P1S printers to upgrade, as I can't really justify having 4 printers!

I'm sure anybody who owns one can attest to the quality and speed of these printers, as well as the ease of use - either remotely or via the bespoke App. Perfect for a beginner, or somebody who wants to upgrade from an older printer.

This does NOT include the AMS unit for multicolour prints. If you wanted the AMS unit as well which would allow you to print up to 4 colours for a single model, the price would rise to £600.

Both have performed beyond expectations with only the standard maintenance you'd expect from any piece of machinery.

The quality of the prints can be found in this thread https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/3d-printed-items.55641/

Collection from J10 M6 is available, as well as free delivery to any pinball comp I'm attending. Delivery elsewhere will have to be discussed as these are not small or light items and I don't really trust sending them via a mainstream courier (but Matt or Martin would be able to treat it right).

Hi Wayne, This caught my eye but just checking the main site to see where the model sits as it will
be my entry into this - maybe you want to check for yourself ££?

this one ?

Ok thanks. Shame as going past wayne’s next week but it would be better to buy through the company at this point now
However if anyone in or around london or along the M6 to Lancaster wants it Im happy to pick it up for them

I was going to price it much higher than the £400, until I saw the Black Friday Sale.
Still, they're nearly 20% cheaper and less than a year old.

After the sale ends on the site, the price will be going up accordingly.

As with any NIB, you often need to do some fettling - this has all ready been done. 😀

You're welcome to pop in anyone for a look and a couple of games of pinball. PM if you want

This will only be available until Saturday at this price.

Comes with a fair number of upgrades and additions, including large purge bin, spare holographic build plate and more I can't think of right now

Im Still happy to help it travel up the M6 towards Lancaster or even into north Wales just past Chester this weekend. Or bring it back to London if someone is wanting it

You may have more luck @Wayne J after the Black Friday sales have ended. I know you say yours has had some modifications and fettling but the extra £89 for new and delivery feels like a good deal at the moment.
If you think your modifications are significant, then share more of what they are.
And this is coming from someone who wants this machine but is struggling to justify either new or second hand costs right now. Specially as I only this year bought Paul’s Prusa Mk 3s

Just have to say that everyone should get a 3D printer !! Buy Wayne’s

Mines been going non stop since last friday - The things out there you can print !!

All those xmas presents I don’t have to buy anymore ( I’ did wooden bowls last year ) , now it’s twin planetary assemble yourself helicopters !!

The P1P (or p1s) is pretty sweet. Mines been great.
That said it has started working its ticket of late. Issues with the poop not dropping out the back (which isnt uncommon it seems - *think* thats fixed now but I've also been getting feed errors in the last couple of weeks which is irritating. No definitive answer on the internets as to what causes it either.

Did a test last night of a racoon... 1 turned out fine, the other is more like the elephant racoon than a racoon

It's either the AMS needs stripping and cleaning underneath, particularly the gear where all 4 bowden tubes meet.

Or ifbits from a single slot on the AMS you may need to replace that one individually.

Yes they work great outbof the box, but they do need to be maintained along the way. The drop-off is quite sudden.

I've added the riser with additional lighting. Along with Z-axis protectors to stop crap getting in there and binding it up.

Its always slot 1 - which makes a bit of sense because its used the most I guess.
What needs replaced ? The tube or a gear or something ?
(Im going to see how it pans out - because the spool that was being troublesome was almost empty - so possibly that wasnt helping)

My purge chute has started clogging again but I noticed a small metal square in there that came off (possibly when it was blocked cos it was backed up) I need to remove the chute and reattach the metal square again properly I think.

do you still have the same problem with a different spool in slot 1?

weird crap can start happen if the spool gets moisture in it. PLA likes to go brittle after a while and start snapping in the ams feed.

Yeah - had several in there. Got one of those sunlu things for drying spools out (which I used time to time with my old CR 10).
Im deffo leaning towards the spool being low - the spool on there now is new and almost full and its not doing it now

Will probably go see if there's a maintenance guide on the BL page I think though

There's lots of excellent information on the Bambu Wiki, with lots of photos to talk you through everything step by step.

As the spool gets low the friction gets higher, 1 because of the angle the filament is being fed in to, and 2 the spool needs to rotate more to to get the same amount of filament off.

Are you using bambu spools, or cardboard?
If cardboard you can print spool covers, or just as effective is covering the rim with electric tape.

In other news, I've just bought a 3rd P1S to help complete a 2,100 hour job I've got!
