Is the blue light, that doubles bonus points, supposed to stay on even on the next ball? Or is mine sticking on?

It shouldn’t stay on, it’s activated by collecting flag 3 from the flag lane but should only have effect for that ball.
You’ve made a lot of posts about issues with this machine, score motor continuing to run on reset etc. I’d hazard a guess that you have one or more faults in your end of ball and/or bonus sequences. If you don’t know how to troubleshoot these using the schematic then it might be time to get an EM tech out for a service call.

If you want to have a go yourself, then the Technology Connections series on Aztec is really good and will probably help you understand a bit more of what's going on under the playfield.
