Hi. What is the cost effective way to source this please ?

Previous owner of mine put a beautiful new glass in, it is spotless. Sadly it is 3.85mm thick rather than the 3/16" or 4.76mm it should be so the lockdown bar swims about

Thanks

There are adjustment screws on top of the lockbar receiver that can be used to tighten it up.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried this, but the glass is so thin that the lockdown bar still moves about. I could put more padding in there to tighten it up, but I think I will get the regular thickness glass as it will probably make the game a bit quieter too.

New replacement foam Strip maybe? the strips tend to bed down, and when glass is changed i guess they don't always spring back...

New stuff is around 6-8mm deep...

try your local glass suppliers. You can get 5mm glass in the UK (most only stock 4mm as standard) but you have to ask. And make sure it's toughened with polished edges too!! Last time I paid £35 ish for a widebody glass.
