does anyone know of a suitable replacement for the 10w 600ohm ceramic resistor on bally solid state rectifier boards,it seems the remade new ones have anything from 10w 560ohm up to 15w 680 ohm,is there a uk stockist with an equivilent part?,I can only find 10w 600ohm ceramic ones in the states

thanks in advance

well if anyone would know how to get them luke would!,theres some 10watt 560 ohm ones on ebay, but obviously that's bottom end of what it's supposed to be

just found an 11watt 680 ohm one in my own spares,so I guess I'll go with that

I fitted a 620 Ohm 10 Watt for R1 on the rectifier for my PARAGON. The tolerance of the original component was usually +/- 10% so anything between about 560 and 680 Ohms is good anyway.

I got mine from MOUSER ELECTRONICS: http://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/Xicon/280-CR10-620-RC/?qs=/ha2pyFadujrv0Gea1zHrsePL%2bvSugcEwyUA8v9s81/DxrGgLt7170%2bYCYnLDr6/ which are made by Xicon with +/- 5% tolerance so somewhere between 590 and 650 Ohms, which is tighter than the original 600.

When mounting try to position so it "floats" above the board by a few millimetres, which will help keep it cooler.

yes mouser are cheap for parts but the £12 shipping charge is a joke
