Thinking about having a change of plan regarding how I restore the truly knackered playfield I have in my Paragon:

So I'm wondering if anyone has got a spare Paragon PF in better condition than mine? Maybe you've already done a swap and have the other one wedged down the back of the shed? If it's less worn than mine it would make a better starting point.

I was generously given a spare PF that had been in better condition but unfortunately it had rotted away after years of storage in a shipping container and had woodworm. I've managed to salvage a few parts, the odd lower-layer plastic, some coils, etc., and I can use it to test cleaning, sanding, clear coat, airbrushing and decal techniques:

Doesn't that just look so sad? Possibly the most beautiful playfield artwork ever created reduced to rot, rust and mould :( when it used to look like this:

I know it's a long shot and if you do happen to have a NOS I doubt I'd be able to afford the going rate, but there's never any harm in asking.

I was contacted by the seller of the recent eBay auction for a populated Paragon playfield that I'd been outbid on. He said the winning bidder had bought it to turn into wall-art and would I like him to pass on my details as the buyer would be stripping everything off the back? :(

So, having missing out on 2 playfields on eBay I've decided to bite the bullet and use my old playfield as the base for the complete overlay decal. I'm going to kinda feel sad sanding it bare but I'll still keep the rotten playfield for posterity where most would have used it for fire-lighters!

To that end I've removed the Wanted status from this thread.
