Backbox bulb issue

The bulb in the backbox of my TSPP is intermittent. Is the most likely culprit the bulb, the starter or the ballast?

On SAM games if you use an LED tube it bypasses the starter & the ballast so that’s probably a good shout to try - £7 from retro arcade specialists (Dave), they also draw less power and run cooler
Normally if the ballast is on its way out it gets quite noisy (hums)

Just to add the LED tube that David sells is excellent and really nice and bright.

For sure, its dead easy to install, brighter and a slightly cooler white, so the colours in the translite pop more. Best cheap mod out there I reckon.
