Hello Folks

So, after an insanely long search, this morning I took delivery of a White Water. Yay!

My joy was short lived as I saw the glass all over the floor of lorry when the doors were opened. The translite glass is smashed to feck.

(I always though they were plastic for some reason... )

Does anybody know where I can buy replacement glass for this?

Better still (long shot alert....) does anyone have one for sale and is going to the show tomorrow?

Cheers

Dean

Have you (or anyone) by any chance got another one?

My backglass also smashed a while back and I haven't been able to get to a glazer

A glass manufacture/Window fitters can supply the glass that you require.

Anyone experimented with 3mm acrylic sheet cut to size?? I need a couple of translite glasses

, it is a total ****er when you bust one, small bits of glass turn up for years, may go the acrylic route just to experiment, won't break, won't be exposed to anything so should stay clear and can be purchased cut to size off ebay (saves a bit of mither) just a thought, I use this stuff as a window on my soldering fume cupboard and it is unmarked and unchanged after extensive use, may be an alternative.

Yep, Gold Wings had an acrylic or perspex backglass substitute. Worked fine but I have to say that I prefer glass proper, just ensure it's toughened rather than normal plate glass to prevent easy breakage and millions of bits.

yup

thats what I used on my Ramones pin -£25 delivered, pre cut to my dimensions - off epay.

HH and G n R also have same thing.

You could use lexan, perspex, acrylic - anything like that

eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXAN-POL...625?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c29976b99

or

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3mm-CLEAR...351?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25712df97f

with this one you would get two and they could be cut for free

cheers poi, i'll use that second link i think - up to 4 cuts free so yep, that's two back glasses (also makes it cheaper as extra sheets only £1 extra postage) ..... £42 for 2 is a price i like, i can stash the spare for next time one goes

this forum needs some more smilies by the way.

check out these options on another board i frequent - and half of these are animated
