Are there any decent pins in Bridlington (or any other nearby resorts)?

I'm heading up the Bridlington at the weekend. Does anybody know of any decent pins in arcades there?

I was there a couple of weeks ago and the flipper rubber was held together with cellotape. It played OK though.

Hopefully it was just until they had the chance to splash out a quid on a new set. I'm not optimistic though, based on general condition of location pins in arcades these days

Since I'm going to be there alone tomorrow, I figured I could try somehwere else nearby if anyone knows of anywhere else on North east coast with anything good.

It had cellotape on last summer!

I would head up to Whitby, there’s an arcade on the small street that heads to the harbour area, the pins are upstairs.
Last year they had t2, taf, aiq, ghostbusters, all n good condition

Nice one - I’m up there for Pulp in a couple of weeks and would have asked exactly the same question ! Useful info much appreciated

Couple of arcades in Scarborough have pins
One has a taf in excellent condition, the other has a Beatles, Star Wars ( stern) and elvis, all playable but not in the greatest condition. Arcades are about 100 yards apart, on main seafront stretch opposite the lifeboat station

Well I managed to somehow make it to 52 without realising Sellotape was a brand and cello tape was the real name for it 😱

Just had to google it. Everyday is a teaching opportunity.

Weird what things you learn randomly on this forum.

I live in Scarborough and the Gillys Arcade on the Seafront has Beatles Gold, Stern Star Wars Pro and a Mando Pro all upstairs I won't even mention the Elvis in there I don't even know why its turned on as unplayable. And Silver Dollar the TAF in really good condition.

It took me until I was 59 to realise that Vick's vapour rub is basically menthol vaseline

Well. Whitby was a bust. Funland was the only arcade open, so thought I was in luck, but upstairs was closed. I popped up anyway just in case. Everything turned off and pins had been moved to a place where you couldn't play them even if they were on. Oh well on to Scarborough!

Thanks for the tip.

Didn't touch elvis screen us badically non existant, thats enough to stop me playingon its own., played a few games on beatles, but not a big fan honestly. Maybe cos I had very short games, with that classic style chasm between the flippers played star wars and mando for a couple of hours though reasonable replay values meant plenty of free games too.

What did I tell you lol.

Did you go and try the TAF?

Dave.
