Anyone know where to get these over here? Before I import from the 'Muricans? (Not Pinball Bazaar looool)

Also, Sunlight vs natural vs warm for GI? What do you prefer? Also do you colour match the inserts? Or just go white across the board?

Been a while since I did my Sopranos with Comets and I've got no recollection of what I used!

I’ve bought direct from Comet, I tried a few of various colours but didn’t see a big difference V hassle, so I went with sunlights all round, very happy with the ones I’ve fitted.

Chris.

I’d forget Europe. Just go direct and buy the bulk bags - it will work out better in the end. I prefer natural white which is cool white from memory.

I now buy the cheapest brightest comets and use an OCD / Afterglow to make them behave if they ghost.

^ I also bought bulk bags, I thought the price then was very reasonable TBH. Their service was fantastic, better than buying from a UK distributor, after 3 orders I still never received what i ordered 🙄, why did it take 3 orders to see the light! 🤬

Never had any ghosting issues with their NG LEDs.

Chris.

Cheers all. Think I might just a bulk of frosted Sunlight #555's and #44's. Much simpler than messing around colour matching and if they'll look okay in the inserts then all good

Retro arcade specialists is the best UK place for Comets. He's got great customer service too, I asked for different varieties and he got them in asap 👍

Good to support a UK seller as it's rare to get a good one.
He's trying to get Titan rubbers in soon👍

Where did you hear about them, David? ;)

is this the same guy selling games for insane prices?

I went off colour matching recently. Really all you need is the different tones of white to make any colour pop. Colour matching can wash out inserts, for example on DINER originally I lit the diner inserts with red but it ruins the effect as the insert has a white outline.
Much better to get a ton of the whites and experiment.
I have used a few colours in certain locations but for effect not to match the insert.

Found some of their flyers at UKPinfest. Who had them?

The guy who runs it came down to Pinfest on the Saturday last minute so I assume he had them.

Yes, he operates games in Gt Yarmouth too, which is great to see. I'm never going to buy a pin from a business but his comets are cheaper than Pinball Bazaars were... He's worth supporting especially if it means a UK distributor of comets and Titans

Yeah only colour match on LEDs that are exposed on the playfield Which isn’t very many these days.

Think I'm going to just nuke it with sunlight's throughout although I'm half tempted to just buy their pre-made kit for my game. Got a couple of kind offers for getting the bulbs with minimal fuss as well. Cheers guys

Another vote for Retro Arcade Specialists.

He's a young lad called David and is trying to get established relationships with a lot of suppliers.

He currently stocks Pinsound, Comets and Xpin kit.

Soon he should be stocking Titan rubbers and hopefully Ninja/Polaris balls.

I use him for Comets and Pinsound. Price on comets is actually really good.

Fast delivery too.

Canvassing at events is a big no no. Should always ask permission. I'd have quite happily put some flyers on the front desk if he'd asked.
