Anyone nab the creech?

Pretty sure it was dodgy. Didn't reply to anyone's emails. Then changed the ad asking for people to email their phone numbers as he couldn't reply. (Why not just put his own number in the ad??) ...... Smells fishy to me.
I keep getting excited about gumtree ads but they often turn out to be a scam or just too dodgy for me to risk. There are some good ones out there so I won't stop trying.
£400 Demo Man was best I've had from Gumtree about 18 months ago. Shame it is one of my least fave DMD games. Flipped it after 2 weeks :biggrin1:
I get bored of looking at gumtree as so many of them are dodgy. However, I guess occasionally they are ok.
I got a creech a few months back for £570 (in Northern Ireland)
Went with £600 but put £30 of petrol in on the way and forgot to top my wallet up again.
Needed a clean, new rubbers and a flipper pawl replaced, otherwise good. Saying that I think the DMD might be on its way out now...

Ian, it was your Creech find that encouraged to me to look at Gumtree again.
The other thing I look for is their mobile number, if they don't put it on then they are either very worried about getting too many calls (usually over ridden by the desire to sell something) or they don't want to be contacted because they scammers. I might still throw them an email but I won't give them my number.
If anyone does see a bargain near Watford, I am always happy to go look at it for someone from the group. I can give it the once over and at least confirm it exists.

If its legit ...it will be long gone by now. Think how many pinheads trawl Gumtree every day 
When I grabbed the Demo Man - I was 1st person to call him minutes after it was listed. I literally lept in the car and drove 2 1/2 hours - by the time I got there he had taken umpteen enquiries and was asking me if he had underpriced it !! I told him no ...its a Demolition Man, you should be paying *me* to take this POS away :smokin:

Funnily enough the guy I got my creech off said he had just got up from the computer after listing it to answer the phone to me..
Yep - luck of the draw with Gumtree. As soon as the listing goes on you need to be knocking on their door with cash in hand
