Along with looking for my first home, and taking into consideration room for my first pin i'm also due a new car.

I currently have a Skoda Fabia hatchback but thinking of upgrading to an estate. So wondering if anyone has any experience with Fabia's and loading pins?

Trying to future pinball proof myself 😂

Edit: My other half has a Vauxhal Corsa Estate, so if anyone has any experience of these i'd appreiciate it as another option

Hold on, the Corsa has reached the size where an estate is viable?.

The things I find with getting a pinball into a car are;

1. a low loading lip, i.e the tailgate opening reaching down to the rear bumper, is a geat help
2. with 80's onward hinged-backbox games, check if the loading aperture will admit the cabinet with the backbox in position

I've got a fabia estate, I think it would be a lot of messing as the opening height is 700 but floor goes down about 100mm think it might get stuck to be honest

As much as I love my Fabia (when it behaves itself) an Octavia should be a safer longer option.

I’ve had the Skoda Octavia and the Superb estates great cars but no good for pin carrying (unless you take the head off!)

Ahh, OK. That's that out then! The one I shifted in a mates Octavia did have the head off. I figured a tombstoned pin would go in OK. I stand corrected.

The Corsa is on deaths door and not my car, so if i'm getting a new one it would be good to know I can transport stuff if needed.
The thing about the Fabia's is they have more height, I don't know why. I'm a tall guy at 6'4 and when i've got in other Skoda's in the showroom I felt like my head was touching the ceiling, but not in a fabia! They're taller for some reason.
Don't know if that translates to the back though.

Which Fabia is it? I currently have a 66 plate, Monte Carlo trim, but a hatchback.

A lot of messing about as it will get stuck? I suppose it's something you wouldn't want to risk trying ? 😂

David don't do it to yourself 🤦‍♂️

:rolleyes:
Meet you at Skoda with a pin ?
