Pinball Geoff (more about him here) is looking for someone with a non-working EM that needs repairing to feature on the BBC's The Repair Shop. The idea is that he will get it working on the show. Ideally it needs to be a machine that has particular sentimental value to the owner.

Let me know if you have a sentimental non-worker and would like it to be on t'telly!

Remember that the first casualty of reality TV is the truth.

My grandfather was an arcade repairman in the 1960s (lie). He always said that this was his favourite game (lie). He sold his left kidney, cornea, and lung to buy it (lie). He always meant to fix it (lie). The machine electrocuted and killed him (lie). We just have the box of bits. We are too scared to try to make it work (lie). It was grandad's dying wish that this should play again (lie).

I did not just buy it on Ebay (lie), wow, to think that there is another one just like it ......

I have a couple they could fix up, wouldn’t need much work.

zac ski jump just needs a clean and some contacts adjusted

or Bally kickoff, needs the collar the head sits on rebuilt and the rubbers changed
they are both over in Northern Ireland though so not that handy

You need the story. The fix it programme is all about the story. How long you have had it. Importance to your family....

If necessary go to a drama college and hire a couple of actors on the minimum wage. They will almost certainly be unemployed and grateful for the work.

some friends of mine were on the repair shop and they really enjoyed the whole experience
