Thinking about trying one of these, fed up with the reflection from my overhead fluorescents. Anyone got this on their pinballs? And can you get it anywhere over here?

Invisiglass does look better than normal glass, but it does not completely eliminate glare (I've seen it on a few members machines now)

I don't think it is available in the UK and it is ridiculously expensive.

You are always going to get glare from fluro tubes as they are just too bright, so you need much dimmer lighting and ideally you want the light shining up and reflecting off the ceiling to avoid overly bright spots.

I recently fitted LED strips facing up in my pinball cabin and thing it works very well.

I'd recommend getting the lighting right before going for expensive glass

Ok thanks....already rewired the fluoros once to stop them being above the pins, but my collection has increased since then!
Will look into the led strips, any recommendation which to buy?

Little bit off topic but the LCD-DMD from Dr.pinball massively reduces on glare at the top of the PF.

I've got some sheets hopefully coming of the PDI stuff in next couple of weeks which is better than invisiglass - unfortunately I think it is all spoken for now but I'll post if any are spare.

Still don't know exactly but it will be cheaper than invisiglass and better too. Taken months to get to this stage as so much demand for it - been waiting and waiting and waiting :)

Exactly the kind of info I was looking for...cheers Peter.

Good article, looks like PDI is the no brainer choice over Invisiglass.

So, where to buy?:)

Title edited now I know about the two brands.

PPS have said on Pinside that MMr customers will get a discount on Anti Reflective Glass, but not as an option on the machine.

Not sure whether that applies to us in the UK.

@Steve had some on his machines. I added some smears to the glass as I head butted it whilst looking closely at the playfield as I thought there was no glass in it. I then added some finger prints as I really couldn't believe there was any glass in the machine. Amazing stuff.

I love the stuff and have it on all my pins. I've always dealt with Roman direct, top bloke and very helpful but he's not keen on shipping so I've always collected. He's always at the European meets so last lot I bought, Peter/Special When Lit kindly picked it up for me while at the show in Belgium.

Well the good news is 35 sheets should be here in a week or so with the new improved design. Can't wait to install as been waiting for this since last year. Now I just need to purchase another 20 or so pinball machines to make use of it :)
