Andys announcementr at Expo

Awesome news that John Trudeau is joining the team but I'm a little disappointed with the change of theme for the first game. Circe's Animal House was different and interesting and while I'm sure the motorbike theme will be cool and I can understand the business reasons for doing it, I'm just not as excited by Full Throttle. Pretty sure once I see the game that will change though :biggrin1:

Thats true, I'd really like to see that game made at some point. I'm sure Full Throttle will be a cool game but that bit of art in the Pinball News story doesn't do much for me. What do some of the bikers on the forum think?

I think it's a great theme - we need a decent motorbike themed machine out there as previous offerings have been dissapointing. I would buy one.
Would think the artwork will develop as it goes, as long as no photoshopping is involved I'm happy.
We could think of Stern as Harley and Heighway as Triumph

I like the look of the 'Chain loop accelerator' reminds me of Rollergames ball lock which is up there with the Shadows sanctum locking mechanism for coolness

I think probably a good move - I would certainly say that is an easier theme to sell to potential ops. And I'm guessing its pretty critical that they sell some games from the off.

I think the Circes Animal House theme is fine and hope to see it in the future, but with the critical first game you probably don't want to have to spend half your time explaining the theme, and explaining how the name is pronounced :nono:

Makes sense too that if they felt the machine had a fast layout to have a suitably speedy theme to match.

Exciting stuff ! Wish them every success.

As a motorbike fanatic, I preferred CAH's theme but I have long been put off by bike themed games as they rarely remind me at all of biking.
Having said that, it is probably a wise move as CAH was a more heavy title though I think good game play would have quickly overcome any obstacles and CAH translight would have brought people to the game.

Don't you just love research boo boo's.
Circe's had two right feet on the flyer, and this one has a bloody car's tyre inprint on the front of the flyer.
One mistake is bad enough with a new game, lets hope the game itself is free from the boo boo curse.
Or am I just being negitave ?

Just had a watch of that vid and agree with Ive that the toys do look pretty cool (especially the pop up spinning wheels). I had a few games on the whitewood at the UKPP and I'm hoping they keep the short inner loop shot as that was super fast especially if you could combo a few of them back to back. Also hope they're still planning on using the transparent touchscreen in the pf glass, that was frickin' awesome ;)

I really like the whitewood and it seems to keep the same basic layout as Circes which is a good thing. Definitely an easier theme to sell, so I can see why they changed.

I just can't bring myself to like those plastic ramps. I'm sure it's cheaper to produce and it's only aesthetic but I'd much rather see wireforms. Just a personal thing.

Did he say a working table in January 2013? Goodness me.

I would have supported the idea of renaming the game to Animal House, simple to understand for even Americans, but Full Throttle sounds like fun too. I look forward to playing it next year.
