I bought this on a whim, as i remember playing these in my youth. not just in pubs, but everywhere: kebab shops, laundromats, bowling alleys, betting shops, racetracks, airports even. Back in those days the fruit machines were cheap and funny and colourful and just good fun, there was always a temptation to put a few quid in when you went for a pint, and no real danger of losing a lot of money - maybe you'd play for half an hour and lose a fiver, or sometimes even win a fiver. this is back when a pint was a quid or so.
Anyway, i paid £800 for it, possibly too much, and have now played it for a while and want the space back. it has the same footprint and weight as a folded up pin - 120kg, about two and a half feet square. pretty simple mechanics but plenty of fun. Now i've played all the mini-feature games, so who wants it? Asking £750 ono. Sure, you can buy an old fruity for less (£100 or less) , but the classics like Andy Capp or The Italian Job, Popeye, Eastenders, Viz etc - ones you have actually *heard of* cost a bit extra, and pretty much hold their value. Play it a bit then sell it on.
I've not sold a fruity before so i don't kow what to photograph. ask away if you want anything special like inside the hoppers or inside the back of the machine where all the reels and electronics are. Located in West London. i'm not delivering it as i'm too fat and lazy and have a knackered back - due no doubt at least in part to this stupid hobby. it's a bug_ger to get it in and out the flat but you'll manage.
