Amazing PinMame

Looks nice. All that tech you can cram in there makes it awesome to a degree, but i would have to play a decent one at length before i totally wrote off the idea of having one. The latency issues when playing these virtual tables is what concerns me the most. I wonder if thats now a thing of the past?

Impressive, I love the custom artwork.

With the beast of a PC he's got in there I'd hope there wouldn't be any. If your still getting them running that thing then it's software related and your stuck with it unless you fancy messing around with the PinMAME code.

You can have the fastest pc in the world and still be hampered by 'input latency/lag'. The flipper buttons must be wired to a unit (jpac/ipac?) that reads the signal for pinmame, which then displays all info (via the pc) on several different native resolution screens that have different response times. Is that entire process speed at least equal to a real pin, giving you the timing feel of a real machine? I'm not so sure. It is this issue that stops me from building one myself......Please god someone tell me i'm wrong and why. Kinda like 'em..

I'm ****e at all pinball, and have no room in my house, but this is awesome. I'd go for something like this.

I watched special when lit recently on PBS, and have the download, they make a point that pinball is special as it can't be recreated virtually. After watching this I'm not so sure. Think of all your old favourites and your own designs in one box. Amazing.

I'd still be crap though. I joined the board as I think pinball should still have a place in modern arcades and fun fairs at a minimum, but I just can't play them, I suck at them, so maybe a virtual version would give me more to play for as I wouldn't have to splash out every time I wanted a new pin.

Dunno, room is still an issue. Impressed none the less
