I think before I write any further a big thanks is in order to @Calimori for his help today with the purchase of my CFTBL.

We had been discussing it for a while and given up cos the price was not where we were at for it

After a call from the seller we decided to go take a peek. The knowledge from an experienced pinballer was astounding and i think the seller was taken back how much of the game they weren’t even aware of with @Calimori at the wheels

Anyways, Without Geoff it couldn’t have happened so thanks again. A price was agreed and all parties happy

West London now has a changed line up with GZ & Creech

Transportation was interesting. Me thinking pinballs were all the same width. My van allows perfect fit for stern and williams but not bally !!

Bungees holding the doors half shut and off we went

Must add the temp was in the minus and after an hr in his man cave we were frozen

The guys garden cave set up was great, just no heating and the metal lockdown bars were freezing. I was trying to get a good game going but I couldn’t feel my fingers.

That was fun, like the good old days where you saw a machine before offering on it.
And I was sure the space in your van was sufficient but it just goes to show the old adage, “measure twice, lift pinball once”.
Your quick thinking solved it before I started to remove the head 😂

You do know the head folds down ? 😂

Touché.
We had it from a upright and playing, to folded and on a sack truck so quickly because the room was so cold. Down various garden stairs and into the road, we made the seller think we knew what we were doing.
Then we got to the van out of sight and looked like amateurs.
The sides of the van were full of @SeikoKid work equipment that couldn’t be easily moved and it was about 2cm too narrow to slide in with the head down. We thought about standing it upright that that also wouldn’t have fitted. I was about to suggest we take the head off when @SeikoKid came up with this option.

Get a crowbar on the racking and take it out, easier to fix than a broken pin 😜
If only ! Sortimo racking cost more than that pin !!
If i could have seen into the future when designing the racking i would have specified it for pinball removal…
