A few of you may have heard that chap Kanedas podcast where he says alien isn't dead yet. In post #335 Iceman44, a pretty well respected chap on pinside says it was himself that told Kaneda and he is adamant it's happening.

He's even taking bets on it happening 2019. It's an interesting read, obviously as usual pinsiders loose their sh1t at the drop of a hat and especially over this inflammatory topic but I for 1 would like to see this happen. I'm sorry for all those that lost money but ultimately this seems to be an amazing machine and maybe a Phoenix from the ashes wouldn't be the worse thing to happen?

I just think it's Bad grapes and mega ****ty to leave those that paid good ££ with no machine... Crap business practices... Playing the system..

It is interesting as he is super confident pinball brothers have re-acquired the Alien license.

No real clue as to who might build it though.

And he is putting his money where his mouth is.

$500 bet if you are sure no Alien this year!

It is/was a pretty damn fine machine but I just wonder if it's all a bit late in the day. The whole thing has left a bad taste with many people. The initial excitement has long gone. So many new titles since and forthcoming.

I'm just not sure there is still a market there for it. I could be wrong.

Be interesting as an alien owner the game is mega but as a whole concept it’s shocking if it where to be re made the cab would be much better as a standard cab not the monstrosity it’s in now also lots of problems with boards xenomotph mech and other stuff absolutely no point in producing that only to be constantly failing the build quality is **** poor half the stuff is metric half is imperial they can’t even be bothered to solder the target wires on nasty red speaker connectors on mine such a shame as the video sounds and game are out of this world if it was totally sorted out would smash it out of the park but I think would be pretty expensive

Awesome machine and really getting into it. Shame about the process though.

Like Chris has said, the game is awesome but the build quality is shocking.
If it was remade in a standard cab to a far better quality of parts then I'd be all over it. Game play is really good and the theme........... well it's Alien what else needs to be said.

When a company goes down, creditors get burnt. That is the sad reality of the system. There is a hierarchy as to who gets paid first out of whatever dough can be salvaged.

  1. Administrator (accountants)
  2. Secured creditors with a fixed charge (banks usually)
  3. Preferential creditors (tax man)
  4. Secured creditors with a floating charge (banks, some suppliers)
  5. Unsecured creditors (customers, suppliers)
  6. Shareholders

By the time you get past the floating charge guys, you are usually looking at a few p in the £ for the customers and suppliers

The buyer of the assets has no responsibility to the former business's creditors and noone should think Ill of the new owner for ignoring the old business' creditors. Unless there is some dodgy connection between the current business owners and the former ones

New owners only look after former creditors if it makes commercial sense to do so

Good knowledge David!

Talking of Davids, I'd love it if Dave Sanders gets offered a role if a remake is on the cards.

Apologies for any mis-spelings.. ;-)
