So how old is that catalogue? Seems to be about the prices on eBay about 15 years ago. Junkyard seems disproportionately expensive.

Good god, some of those prices! If ever I needed a time machine, it's now. 1st stop, tell young me to buy Bitcoin, 2nd stop pin bargains....

Was this leaflet meant for the home market or trade prices for operators? Just wondered if the prices included VAT? (17.5% at the time).

My Dad was an operator I've got his order book now, he bought an STTNG from Phil in 2000 for £850 plus vat, I remember it seemed expensive at the time for a used pin, but he was very pleased as it was like new!

If anybody still has their original £895 Adams Family knocking around please let me know, I'm dying to have one again and cant afford these LuDiCrOuS prices anymore o_O

To be fair though.

This was back in the days when you'd get your weekly wage in a brown envelope and a payslip. It was £6.48. Once you've paid the local gaffer rent and board, you'd blow the money taking the tram to the local picture house to meet that gal you were sweet on. Popcorn was 2 and 6 and if you were lucky you'd have enough left over for a bottle of pop and a packet of candy cigarettes.

But yeah. Nuts :p

Those were called 'fags' when I was growing up in Oz and had a red lit end and everything. When someone at fags hq realised it probably wasn't cool marketing candy homophobic cigarettes to kids they rebranded them as 'fads', removed the red lit end, and very quickly went out of business.

in '98! Decimalisation was in 1971. I'd been working for 4 years in '98 and got my first house in Jan '98. I think you are 20-30 years out fella! And stop making me feel old....
