I've just picked up an Addams Family in quite nice original condition, but sat alongside some more modern machines it looks very dull. Will get the LED treatment soon, but I'll definitely need to bring some life to the back of the playfield and in particular the topper. I've seen Judge Dredds blue lighting treatment for both of these areas - looks a step in the right direction - but does anyone have advice on other options, especially for the topper??

Personally I thought the topper was spot on - especially when playing at night with the volume cranked and multiball kicks off - all that zapping noise and the room filling full of white flashes :)

I agree the topper is fine as standard.
I've put led's in the swamp and chair sections.

Wait until you go to LEDs before you go for mods. Most can be done yourself without buying kits if you have a bit of time and a good 'bits and pieces' box.

I replaced the PF (including the flashers), topper and backbox with LEDs but even without I like the flashing lightning. (The PF LEDS deffo made it look more colourful though)

Extra 10 LEDs in my TAF
3 blue LEDs in the topper, the swamp in green, shooter lane, 2 targets lit from below, scoop, lamp shining at the bookcase and ring bumper lights fitted a much brighter game to play now.
Utube made my decision

Seen a few on the choob that look pretty snazzy with various colours replaced.TNT amusments post quite a few of em.
