Addams Family Colour DMD

Ive tried a quick search on forum and not spotted it, does anyone know the best place to get a colour DMD for an addams family on here??

Into an Addams Family?

Not really - the instructions are pretty solid.

Did you opt for LED or LCD?

If you need help then feel free to ask on here, but perhaps be specific about the problem you need to solve, even if there’s a big list.

Your better off going for the LED version for the TAF .
If you ordered the LCD then you will need a "Thing" led mod due to the larger area the LCd takes.

Addams ColorDMD is unique that if you’ve bought the LCD version you will need to mount it above the THING light board. It is a very tight fit, and will probably touch the board when installed.

Fitting it this way means that you will not be able to open the hinged light panel in the back box without lifting out and resting down the speaker panel. It will also cast a small shadow on the translite, at the bottom.

You will also need to go into the settings of the ColorDMD and lower the vertical position of the graphics.

This sounds like hard work but it isn’t really. If it does sound like aggro to you though you can get the LED version of ColorDMD which doesn’t have these issues.

EDIT: I will add that you don’t have to mod your THING board, as long as you accept the quirks above.

all sorted had the plug in the wrong way round, thought it could only go one way, yes and easy swop if you get the basics right to begin with!
