None of those will work. The first one is just a yellow led. The important bit is that they emit 880nm light. If they don't they'll be flaky at best and not work at worst. 940nm (your second link) is more common but will not work (unless you replace the reciever to match). The link calimori gave has free delivery so I'd just grab them from there (and in fact I did grab a load a few weeks ago!).
Have you checked your wiring though? Seems odd that all 4 have suddenly failed?

Thanks for the advice , I was just hoping that somewhere local had them and I could go and pick some up today , yeh my wiring is ok , it was me who crushed all the led,s when I was putting the bookcase decals on ! Trying to take a shortcut ! :(

Sorry, should have read the thread! You did mention that a few times!
I've never found a local supplier. Maplin don't do them in 880nm flavour. Apparently when these games were made 880nm was the standard but that changed to 940nm soon after. Most of what you'll did around are 940 and so not suitable for our purposes.

Thanks , can I change the emmiter and the " receiver" or what ever they are called to 940nm ?

Sure someone more knowledgeable than I will be along shortly but I can't see why not. You'd need to always remember though in case of failures in the future. The 940 receivers are cheap too.
