Aaa playfield restoration ( yeah what’s that )

Just finished a asteroid Annie and the aliens restoration to help someone out .. very low production , no quality scans and play field planked yellowed and well worth scrapping.. I agreed as He was doing Clearcoat. Also agreed I would restore best I could with phone reference in one hand and do the lot by hand . I would do ageing , yellowing and adding pretend planking other wise it would look odd with new bits painted in and I simply didn’t want to paint the whole playfield without better pics ..., paint brush in one hand and a link to pin side pics .. there is stuff everywhere but without boring you I’ve uploaded. A Selection ... oh and yes the cards were hand done digitally and printed off by me and daughter .... here goes

Gordon Morison, the artist who worked on that did a fantastic job. AP as much as I like it, the artwork really is poor.
Regardless of how AAATA plays (as I have no idea) that machine looks great - backglass and playfield.




It puts modern "Photoshop Artwork" packages to shame.
