Well my trusty Cosco Truck came in handy yesterday in more ways than one.
I moved a total of 4 pins in and out of my car on a 300mi round trip and by the end discovered a novel way of putting them in and out of my car.
pics show me taking the last one out but just reversing the process for putting one in worked just as well.

Great sack truck - but no tow bar on my vehicle. I just simply totally split and buggered up my back bumper. My car is more like a van to be honest. Back seats are never left in it. In Brum new clean air laws soon so most older vans wont be let into the centre where my places of work are.

Damn, that looks like an awesome sack truck!! I'm signing up to Cosco tomorrow!

That's similar to what I do with my cheap sack truck from Index (that's a clue to its age), handles just into the boot and slide.

Its about £80 in store - can not remember if that includes the VAT but they do them with delivery as you can see.

Oh actually, I keep forgetting I'm VAT registered! Although I'm not sure I could put that through the company. I will have a proper look at it tomorrow. I had a quick look earlier and that motorcycle type lift looks useful too.

Whilst your on the subject of getting machines in and out the car.... Any tips for going up staircases?!

Sack trolley. One person up top. One below. Usually it's fairly easy with someone like Martin. But now on lockdown it's completely impossible to go up stairs unless you live with a grown up son. I slid a machine down the stairs on my own the other week and it nearly killed me. Literally. I've done a few before but this one got away from me and gathered speed like a bobsleigh. Luckily it dug into the second to last step otherwise it would have ended up on top of me. No two ways about it.

So, lesson....don't attempt stairs on your own.

However it will still need two - but I had one of these before the costco one and it is better for getting up and down steps.

The best one I saw like that had an electric motor on and used to climb up stairs. Got two vending machines upstairs at my old work place many years ago on the electric one!

Next time I have to get one up or down the stairs I'm going to tie it off the banister or something with climbing gear as a failsafe to stop it gathering momentum.

Hi Paul,

I picked up my one in store, it was with the shelving/racking, near automotive and tools.

Chris.

Thanks Taz - Will have to have a look next time i'm in there... Least i know where to look now (Rather than the usual Aimless wander about i usually do) :)

The Gateshead store has always had them in but as Costco often do they just move the stuff around on a weekly basis so they never seem to be in the same place.

Was having a look at these last night. I'm not 100% this is the same model as Cols. Pretty sure this one doesn't do the 45° angle thing as shown in the original pictures. Not sure how relevant that is to be able to achieve the method he's describing.

Looking around last night I couldn't actually find the exact model. There's this one, but it doesn't have the full width handle bar thing.

That’s not the same one I’ve seen that exact one in the local BnQ but I’m not sure how it compares. I can whole heartedly reccomend the Costco one

This is whats confusing me right. The brand of these sack trucks is Cosco but the store name is Costco ?? Am I mental

I once bought an RFM from an operator in St Neots. It had to come down a flight of stairs with a 180 half way down.
I almost threw the money at him and said ****ing keep it, I’m out.
I still need counselling for it

Before the boy was born and when I had one pin to my name, I kept it in what is now the office which is upstairs. The wife and I managed to get it upstairs no bother with the head off (which is how I got it home, in the back of my 1 series), getting it back down with the head on left me with some filling, sandpaper and paint work to do.

I now have a pinshed in the garden.
