So, theres a guy over on pinside from the czech republic and has a LOT of good titles (MM, MB, CV, ToM, IJ, TZ, TAF etc...) for sale due to an impending divorce. He states he wants offers over $30K and would like them all to go in one container to pinheads that will love them and not to a dealer. I thought i would post it as i know of a couple of people here that reside in czech so it might be worth your time.

Oh wow...if only I had the cash lying around. Keep meaning to save up a load of cash for moments like this.

I think the seller was wanting a lot more than $30K... and was lamenting the offer of $30K.... :bolt:

Yeah, he stated he had a pinball guy check them over and had them valued at much more than that. 30K sterling would be a good offer for him.

You're trying to get your first game shipped into the country? on a 1500 budget?
Buying your first ever machine from a freighted international seller is asking for a TON of trouble. What'll you do if it goes wrong? Have you even considered things like import duty and taxes?

i would be *way* in over my head, and so would you.

Listen to the people here, they've backed you all the way, pointed out good machines at good price, told you which games on your list are unrealistic for your budget, and it seems you're ignoring all their advice.

Take your budget, find a machine to get you started sub 1200, there's plenty that are awesome, you aren't king to get MB or MM for that, so find something as good, if not better, that you can afford.
Get it home, have fun with it, and take it from there.

These people here *know what they're talking about* they've been doing this for years and years.
Otherwise there's a chance you'll end up ripped off, scammed or left with some **** condition machine and no idea how to get it going.

I didnt say I would sheesh if they were bargains which they ain't I might of taken a punt :0p. And I haven't ignored anyone's advice Like not going for the tftc so there :0p easy on me lil fella

You've* completely* failed to read my post or notice the advice I was trying to give, despite the fact said post has received likes from other members. Does that tell you that *maybe* there's a smidgen of logic in what I said?
You could get a great machine for 600, learn all about maintenance, make some contacts and trade up and up to an eventual dream machine. That's *the* best way for a beginner to go about things.

I have a a friend here who began a couple of years ago with a Whirlwind and is now flying through some of the best machines out there.
sure, he's beyond addicted and certifiably insane and keeps them in his kitchen but whatcha gonna do?

Point is, he spent a little and worked his way up the ladder, learning, making friends, working on his repair skills, making notes what to avoid, who to watch out for etc and was getting top class machines from reliable sellers in no time.

But no worries. You wont have to hear about this from me anymore.

He has also said a friend has valued them at 60000 - 70000 Euros so no way would he take 30k - as he actually said!

Chill didn't mean to upset, I thought u were having ago so I got me back up and didnt read it properly to which I apologise. I value all the advice you guys give. And in my defence I had msged that guy months ago when he first posted on pinside before advice for you lot. Anyone thinking of doing a deal with that guy I'd be careful if you read through his post the story has changed 3 times. I plan on buying from members hence why I joined.

I wasn't upset or angry, it makes no difference to me what you do with your money, just frustrated maybe.

I stand by and believe everything I said, but I apologise if I was abrasive.

Let the trophy games go and bag yourself a good System 11 or early 90s DMD. You'll save money you can put toward another game down the line and have a machine to hone your maintenance skills on.
