I came to eventually change my incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs.
Like any good kid, I BELIEVED the schematic diagram and only found out upon changing the bulbs that some of the listed #44 bulbs are actually a #555 fitting.
My query is - why do pinball manufacturers use two types of bulbs, that are essentially the same i.e. both are 6.3 volts, 0.25 amps, and even have the same filament! Must be cheaper just to have 1 type? -not sure if this applies to STERN or JJP also.
My 2nd query is that, in a chain of say 5 bulbs, why is the last one generally a different fitting? I'll have a run of 4 wedge fittings that a bayonet?
(I didn't list under technical, as more of a query than an issue!)
