I've just worked out in 25 months of being in the hobby I've had a new game in the collection every 48 days (16 in, 11 out), obviously in that is the ramp up from 1 to 5, (I remember the convo's - no dear, just going up to X - there's no more room even if I wanted another) but how long do your games last in your collection?

Longest Survivor: TWD
Out on its Ear Award: ST... I think

For a while I was getting a new game every 3 months, I didn't plan it that way it just seemed to be the amount of time in-between games I wanted popping up. But obviously i struggle parting with them so it got out of hand pretty quickly.

Addams Family was my shortest owned game which lasted 2 months, I didn't want it to go but with the money from selling that i bought 3 Gottliebs and had cash left over, so that was a no brainer for me

zero minutes as many games picked up simply stay on the van to go elsewhere. 2 TWD last year for instance. what you might call "sold in transit"

Centaur as seen here at the club has been in my hands since 1988 so 32 years is the other extreme. I have a Atari Guantlet video in storage I had in 1989 and Balck Knight 2000 in 1993 are next for longevity.

Length of time games kept

Interesting project - Avg 771 days!

Longest 2136 - ST LE - Still own
Shortest 93 - The Shadow

My shortest was a few weeks for Stargate. Just couldn't gel with it.

Still have my first pin which gets dragged around shows. Purchased in 2012 I think. DE Star Wars.

Since December 2003 when I bought my "one and only game", I've had 338 machines and own 21 currently. I think that works out at a game every 19 days which considering it was 18 months between game 1 and game 2 is quite concerning!!
Spectrum 2 is my longest owned game at 9 years 8 months currently (fitting as it was the first game I ever played). Think I sold ToTAN a week after I got it as it bored me and my first T3 the day after I got it as I was offered a CC and wanted the space, but, my shortest owned game was an LOTR I sold on the way home from picking it up - I already had one and it was the other 4 machines that interested me which from memory were Episode 1, RFM, Monopoly and HRC. I used to buy games I hadn't played then get rid if I didn't like them or if it wasn't that nice, find a nicer one.

I've had 16 Attack From Mars (and my current one almost 5 years), oh dear.....
