I think I need to do this one too (I'm modding a similar EBD loom into the Vector back box), if I can't get a 28-way housing I'm thinking of using two smaller housings of the size to fit either side of the key (8-way and 19-way) then cable tie them close to the ends. A bit of a kluge but that would work.

Way off that, taking it slow and enjoying the restore process else I'll be wanting my next project to fettle and you know how hard these are to find.

Hi, guys,

I've just checked, and found that a mass of Bally wiring I can't even identify has some 28 way 'small' idc housings, with the black plastic covers. Are these what you're after?

like this but 28 way but thanks for looking

be nice to find a supplier for these:)

Those are no longer available and I cannot find any stock remaining.
I tried ordering a custom build of them but no such luck. So I don't know when/if I will be restocking these.

Sorry I can't help with this one.

only want 4 think shipping might kill it:rofl:

Why is shipping $22000?

On 4/10/2014 I put in place a minimum order of $30 for US orders and $75 for International, unfortunately the only way to do it using my current shipping system with PayPal is to charge an extreme amount for orders not meeting the minimum, obviously I hope you don't proceed. They reasons are multiple, but mainly are driven by the increased volume of sales over the past few years compounded by complaints and claims on small orders. I ship nearly every day and rarely take time off for my other interests, when I do the complaints roll in. A review of sales showed that over the past two years nearly HALF of my sales were under $30 and accounted for only 10% of my business. Often these small orders are a dozen of small parts that take more time to pack than an average order. Often these are followed by a complaint about $7 in shipping "for such small items". Most (90% this year) of my PayPal claims are from International orders where there's no patience on delivery. Most recently a $28 small package to Germany less than 6 days old. All of those claims except one were under $50. Through the end of the year this has worked for me, and not likely to change. Sorry for the inconvenience.

let me think long and hard about that
noooooooooooooooo
mind you if you wanna go half on an order to big daddy ;)

I sold my IDC insertion tool on here so I can't fit them in future
excellent:thumbs::clap:

2x 14way, file the edges off slightly so that they mate together at the right spacing and epoxy together?

How about 3D printing them?

How about 3D printing them
sounds good anyone got a 3d printer?
luke?? ;)
i would think probably expensive? or not
no idea

Not me (yet) sorry

You'd want to use one of the more premium materials for strength, but given the size/weight I imagine they cost pennies in materials.
