Once again I have the onerous task of collating information about the UK show tables for the show floor and tournament areas. People have been approached and pledged tables in advance for Andy to take the plunge and organise the UK Show at the Heighway Pinball factory. I have been in touch with his company administrator and there is a lack of information from Andy at this time, so I'm starting from scratch...

If you are going and are taking a Table or tables then please could you reply here (or by PM) with which pin or pins you are taking, if you consider any of them to be competition standard or not and if you're happy or not for them to be used in various competitions over the weekend. Oh and please state which days they are available and if you're planning on selling them... seeing as I very nearly came a cropper on that a couple of years back!

Remember that it's free weekend entry to the UK Pinball Party for pinball machine providers and there are van grants for multiple machine providers as follows:
3-5 machines £200 van hire grant + fuel receipts from start to venue and back
6-10 machines £275 van hire grant + fuel receipts from start to venue and back
11-15+ machines £350 van hire grant + fuel receipts from start to venue and back

The show is being held from 21st to 23rd August and more information can be found here:

At one time Andy was talking about doing a collection. If there is a central London one then I'd happily give 3 or so pins. Do you know if this is still happening or has Full Throttle taken over his life?

I've no Idea I'm sorry to say. @Matt Vince and Martin A normally have vans going how near are you to them?

Martin's the wrong side of London for me. He could be more than half way to Wales in the time it would take him to get here and back;)

I'll contact Andy as I'm pretty certain he was thinking of doing a collections service at one time

Just to answer a few questions:

No, I've not taken over from Andy at organising machines for the show. If you want machine collection from Andy you need to speak directly to him. If you hire a van and make sure it has a tail lift, then get the money back from Andy at the show. You need to advise him in an email first to let him know (make sure you have a response to confirm receipt of the email). If you're having him collect then I understand that the Heighway Factory 7.5 tonne lorry will be used and that collection may be a few weeks earlier than the show and that the returns may be a few weeks after the show.

Please chip in if I have any of this wrong Andy... @Heighway Pinball

The reason for this thread is that for the last couple of years I've organised the tournament machines so I get to decide what's on the floor and what's in the tournament area. To do that I need to know what machines will be available....

Oh and I try and use duplicate tables first and foremost to try and reduce none availability to the main show floor but sometimes this is not possible, so then I try and balance desirable titles between the main floor and tournament area.

Oh and if a machine is used for the tournaments, then it will remain in the competition area all weekend (unlike previous years), due to the main tournament being spread over Saturday and Sunday.

I got a reply from the Heighway team today. Sounds like Andy's away for a while but there is potentially still going to be a pick up service. Hope it works out

Did you email Andy directly or someone else there John? Just wondering if I should resend my email to someone else?

Bumpity bump...

Less than 3 weeks to go... anyone else willing to let me know what machines they will be bringing to the show? :hmm:

Best off putting it in Google docs then every one can update it?

Not that I'm suggesting people would intentionally lie about what games they are bringing but that could be organized chaos if it is turned into a free for all ;)

What @Archyta5 said plus:

No thanks, it's my working document for organising the tournaments and I don't want people changing what machines are available/selected for the tournaments!

If someone else wishes to create something then that's fine by me.

You don't give them carte Blanche access, you would only allow them to add to it when signed into google. ;)

Haven't heard anything from Andy regarding pick ups. I know he's had a lot on with getting married and going to the US shows. The window of opportunity for arranging a collection date is getting smaller, so I suspect I might not be able to give him anything this year.

^^^^ this is why Andy needs to put someone else from his team on the case asap. No machines means no show. What about Janos and Oti, are they involved?

I know Oti has been doing the hotel bookings as @I TiltAlot and I have been in contact with him regarding that. I'm wanting to pledge 2 games and @I TiltAlot certainly 3 or 4 as well. There was some rumblings games might have been picked up a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. Pickup window is not such a massive issue for us but I can imagine with only just over 2 weeks to go a lot of you are getting a bit anxious...
