Hi i am looking for a couple of parts to fit my Data East Batman. Basically i have had issues with ball bounce back ( mainly the third ball position on the far left) and the switch that registers that last ball to go in the trough has a partially broken wireform that pushes the actuator on the switch. I have adjusted the ball trough as it does slide under the playfield to alter it`s position. This has helped getting it to register but i`d like to replace the part if at all possible.

The bounce back should be stopped by a wire gate that attaches the the black plastic apron. However there only seems to be a generic gate available which i have fitted but it sticks with the original Data East metal clips installed. I have modified it somewhat and put a couple of small pads on the trough itself to reduce bounce back. Once again i`d rather fit an original part if anyone has one for sale. I would consider buying the whole assembly if anyone has one. I am not sure but i think some Bally Wms games from this era had similar set ups though the wire gate was attached to metal rather than the plastic apron.

Thanks ,
John.

I’m guessing this is what you need?

I got the machine a couple of months back and the ball trough had been bent down by the look of it which i have bent back up so the balls when i got it were not sitting where they should. Whether it was down to the broken wireform on the third ball switch and/or the broken gate i cannot be sure. What is actually damaged/broken is just the wireform and ball trough gate. Just don`t know why someone would bend the metal guides down or maybe it was just getting battered over the years ! I do have it working perfectly OK at the moment but that could change tomorrow and i thought some spares would be good to give me that extra insurance if it played up. I saw that ad in America, about the only place they had what i was looking for !
Cheers,
John.

Thanks very much Brian, it would be good to get the parts for the game as it is a particularly nice one and in my opinion a good bit better to play than most people said about it. A lot of folk said it was a one shot game which it certainly isn`t so it`s a real bonus finding a game i have never owned before that is enjoyable to play. I usually play the pinballs most nights so the downside to that is always looking to move things on and get a different machine back in which these days is more difficult than ever.

Cheers,
John.

The wireforms do look very similar but are attached differently to a metal strip whereas the Data East ones are attached to the plate direct. There does look like there is room under the playfield to attach the whole lot in place of the Data East one. I think i will give it a go. I`ll get Sandra to paypal the money later today as she normally does that on her phone and she is at hospital with her mom right now.

Cheers,
John.

They can’t be unfortunately but measured the unit and they are same footprint. One came off a Star Wars, the other a Teenage Mutant Turtles

Hold fire John, these are the Williams troughs (system 7 era). Although the same measurements I have a few other boxes that the DE must be in, let me check and report back👍

Sorted, do you need the trough ball run as well?

That`s the very ones indeed ! Yes i`d take the ball run as well since i had to bend the current one back into shape with pliers.

Cheers,
John.

Good stuff,

Great i just hope it`s a different driver from the one who cannot find me with my Retro Refurbs order. They have been coming here for years no problem and now all of a sudden they can`t find me !

Probably because when you put postcode in it gives a different road to the one you gave, it says Nerston Road?

Nerston Road actually crosses Markethill Road about two yards from our garden wall but you enter the driveway from Markethill Road as it always has been that way. When the wonderful internet came about our address was listed as Nerston Road for some strange reason despite being Markethill Road since 1924 when it was built. Either way it`s dead easy to find i just reckon Hermes have folk off work.

Hi Brian,
Just to let you know Hermes just delivered the parts super quick so thank you very much for them. And there is still no sign of the Retro Refurbs order via Hermes !

Cheers,
John.
