i like the look of it, liked it at the time but didn't fancy it as it involved some after-sales installation and i'm a bit lazy.
if someone bought one and regretted it, i'd be happy to pay to take it next and then pass it on. maybe we could treat it like a players' machine or a slutty girlfriend (ie it works fine but doesn't look the best) and just sorta pass it between ourselves so everyone gets to enjoy it?
that sounded terrible, i didn't mean it to come out like that, honest.
So are you saying you could make up a few for resale at a good price ?I made one the other day, but did mine from scratch;
Purchased the 2 DMD's from AliExpress;

Remember for 2 of these you will also need a 10amp PSU;

Of course you will need the RunDMD board;

Then for the plastic I used the Plastic People;
http://www.theplasticpeople.co.uk/
I used a 5mm black Acrylic 760mm x 190mm with rounded corners for the back part of the clock, and a 3mm translucent red of the same dimensions for the front.
Using short hex spacers I mounted the board to the back plastic, then with longer hex spacers I mounted the displays to the back plastic, and finally using yet longer hex spacers I mounted the front plastic to the back one.
All holes were drilled using a Dremal.
All animations are included in a download which you write to the SD card dead easy really.
I'll video it tonight and upload it.
Me tooSo are you saying you could make up a few for resale at a good price ?
If so I'm interested.
Is there a UK source for the recommended Display units?
Ok.
So the clock itself isnt a problem. What Is is the frame it mounts in. I think on the first (and last) run it worked out around £40 per frame.
However, the plans are available, and in fact the company way well be willing to do another run...
So - Let me price some stuff up...
If anyone has access to a cnc machine that can produce from a .dxf autocad file, that could reduce the price considerably....
I still have contact with Limpan (the "go between" we used on the initial run between us and the manufacturer). If sufficient interest is there. They may well be happy to do us a pinballinfo dedicated run, where a kit is supplied with everything and it just needs the frame sorting
However - a word of warning - These overall dont work out cheap. however they are good, and rather unique!
