To be fair the machine was well used but OK. However I love this machine so a full shop was needed. A stack of parts ordered from everywhere including a Mirco Clear Coated PF.

The game had a few opto faults and a couple of things wired the wrong way around. Before starting I sorted all faults.

Most metal parts where put in a tumbler and the coin door and brackets were sent away for powder coating.

Main boards cleaned and washed.

New PF from Mirco

Loom swap is going a treat. I label the support brackets and cable tie a position reference. The latter makes reinstalling easy as I fix the loom in the support locations then each item is close to were it should be.

Nice! Especially since we are at the spooky time of the year (the one where you close the curtains, shut the door and pretend to be out :p). Looks awesome so far, looking forward to seeing the finished article!

PF finished :)

Starting on the B Box. Stripped all the braid and removed the brackets (into the tumbler).

Using a heat gun on the decals and adhesive remover.

When I checked the machine I was pleased to see that all the serials were correct including those on the boards. However having stripped the machine I need duplicates. A few hours with photoshop :) over cautious perhaps but I have blanked out the serials..

Adding cab stickers... I will probably start selling this as a service to others doing restos. All the stickers are printed on matt sticky back vinyl using a commercial colour laser printer. This is virtually identical to the real thing. I then cut using a guillotine. The Fuse list for BB and machine card for base of cab are done on A3 then A3 laminated.

Note the two versions of manu main sticker.... I would need a picture of your current one to reproduce yours for you. Obviously I have blanked out the serials on mine ;)

Gonna be mintier than a pack of polos when done
And any game with a mosh pit has gotta be good right?

Looks great! Putting my slow AFM restore to shame...

Did you find the predrilling on your new PF to be accurate?

And what make/model is your Orange flatbed hydraulic lifter?

Thanks for the positve comments, Yeah, the pre drilling has been spot on with the PF. The only minor issue was the creature rebate for the green panel was a little too deep.

The orange flat bed was from a company in Warrington who import them. I think it was around 220 inc VAT. I had to cut the pull arm though and re-weld so it slides under the cab to the proper centre of gravity lift position :D

I will get the full details off it tomorrow and PM you.
